A week on the coast of Costa Rica where adventure, movement, and community remind you what it feels like to be fully alive.
You’ve spent years showing up for everyone else. This week, it’s your turn.
Your spark didn’t die. It just needs oxygen. Spark Finder is a week that pushes your body through adventure, clears your head, and brings you back to yourself, in one of the most beautiful corners of Costa Rica. You don’t have to choose between challenge and pleasure. This week is both.
Come tired, come skeptical, come as you are. Our first gathering is on the Pacific coast, and it won’t be our last.
You don’t have to choose between challenge and pleasure. Every day holds all three: the adventure, the inner work, and the plain pleasure of being well cared for.
Explore Costa Rica on the water, in the rainforest, and from above. Where you’re headed is part of the surprise.
Breathwork, movement, and honest conversation. The quiet work that comes after the adventure.
Culinary excellence, boutique casitas, and the little touches that make you exhale the moment you arrive.
Most mornings begin on an open-air deck above the rainforest — movement, breath, or stillness — as the jungle wakes up around you.
A little of what the week holds — and what it hands back to you.
A boutique resort tucked into the rainforest above Uvita, on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast. Ocean-view villas, a jungle pool, and the whole property reserved just for our group. Your home for seven nights.
*Flights to Costa Rica are not included.
Organic, largely garden-to-table, and genuinely exquisite. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner made with care, plus a cooking demonstration with the resort’s chef.
Each day has room to be challenged and room to simply be. Nothing is forced. Every adventure is yours to say yes to.
Breakfast at your pace, then a morning practice with Teresa.
Somewhere wild and unforgettable, and always a surprise.
Rest, read, float in your plunge pool, or unwind with a spa treatment.
A shared table and conversation that stays with you.
We’ll tell you what to bring. Where it takes you is the surprise.
Spark Finder began with two friends and one belief: that the middle chapters of a woman’s life aren’t a winding down. They’re an invitation to reignite. We built the retreat we wished existed — equal parts adventure, wellness, and honest connection. And we’re starting where it feels most alive: the coast of Costa Rica.
Michelle first came to Costa Rica more than 20 years ago through a university study abroad program while earning her B.S. in Recreation Management with a minor in Spanish. She quickly fell in love with the country’s extraordinary biodiversity, lush rainforests, vibrant culture, and endless opportunities for adventure—and realized she’d found home.
Today, Michelle is the heart behind every Spark Finder experience. With an adventurous spirit and infectious enthusiasm for life, she designs experiences that inspire others to surf, hike rainforest trails, cliff-dive into jungle pools, and feel the same sense of wonder that first captured her heart. She believes life’s most meaningful moments often begin just outside our comfort zones and loves creating opportunities for others to connect with nature, embrace adventure, and reconnect with themselves.
Her belief is simple—a week outside your comfort zone can hand you back a version of yourself you’d almost forgotten.
Teresa is an artist first. A professional dancer since the age of fifteen and a choreographer, she has spent more than 35 years in motion and over 30 years coaching, always treating the body, physical and emotional, as a creative act. A certified fitness instructor (NASM and NSCA), she founded and led TAV Lifestyle, a sports-conditioning and fitness-training business, before building today’s Zero Gravity Coaching for dancers, artists, and athletes. Her work reaches well beyond movement, into breath, nutrition and gut health, mindset, and the life of the spirit: a whole-person practice decades in the making.
An advanced-stage cancer survivor, Teresa knows what it means to reclaim your body and your spark. At Spark Finder she leads the daily practice of movement, breath, and creativity, alongside the honest conversations that turn a trip into a turning point, all shaped with her signature artistry and adventurous spirit.
Warm, grounded, and quietly challenging, she creates the kind of space where women feel safe enough to be real, and brave enough to change. Her aim is simple—to be the spark, especially when it’s dark, and to remind every woman she meets that happiness is a choice, so choose it.
Costa Rica is where we begin. Spark Finder retreats will travel the world.

Women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s standing at a crossroads: a career shift, an empty nest, a divorce, a milestone birthday, or just the quiet sense that something needs to change. If you want renewal (not a spa weekend) and you’ll say yes to something that both challenges and rewards you, you’re exactly who we built this for. You don’t need to be “a wellness person.” Come tired, come skeptical, come as you are.
Vista Celestial, a boutique resort in the hills above Uvita on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast, with ocean views, rainforest, and waterfalls all within reach. It’s about a three-and-a-half hour drive from San José International Airport (SJO), and round-trip group transport is included both ways.
Every adventure is guided and beginner-friendly, and nothing is mandatory. You’re always free to opt out and enjoy the resort, the pool, or a quiet afternoon instead. The application includes a private place to share any physical considerations so we can look after you.
No. You book your own flight into San José (SJO). Everything from the airport onward is included: transport, accommodation, meals, adventures, and wellness sessions.
Honestly, the food might be the sleeper hit of the week. Nearly everything is organic and garden-to-table, grown or sourced right on the property or in the hills of Uvita. Expect abundant breakfasts, vibrant lunches, and genuinely memorable dinners. (Alcohol isn’t included but is available to purchase.)
Absolutely. Whether it’s vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, an allergy, or a strong preference, just note it on your application and the kitchen will take good care of you.
Not at all. Many guests come solo. Choose double occupancy and we’ll match you with a roommate, or ask about a private room if you’d like more space of your own.
A $200 deposit reserves your seat and comes off your total. Half the balance is due November 1, 2026 and the remainder February 1, 2027. The deposit is non-refundable, and we recommend travel insurance to protect your investment; full cancellation terms are shared with your application.
An intimate group of just 15 for this pilot retreat, so it stays personal.
The week is a beginning, not a one-off. Every woman goes home with a set of integration tools to carry the experience forward, so the shifts you make in Costa Rica keep unfolding in your everyday life long after you’ve landed.
